GRAN ACTUACIÓN DE EQUIPOS CHILENOS EN EL PANAMERICANO DE CLUBES JUNIOR EN SAO JOSÉ, BRASIL.

Una gran actuación tuvieron equipos chilenos en el primer torneo panamericano de clubes junior realizado en Sao José, Brasil.
el equipo femenino de Ovalle balonmano cerró su participación en el torneo de clubes más importante de América coronándose Campeón en su categoría con 4 victorias y 1 derrota.
En tanto, el equipo masculino de Union Machalí, se quedó con la tercera posición del torneo obteniendo 1 victoria y 3 derrotas.
Elegidos los equipos ideales del torneo.
En la categoría damas, 7 personas fueron elegidas en el equipo ideal siendo:

En varones fueron elegidos en el equipo ideal del torneo los jugadores:
Cristobal Oyarzún y Fernando Castillo, ambos de Ovalle balonmano como Mejor central y Mejor lateral derecho respectivamente; y como Mejor extremo derecho a José Armijo de Unión Machalí.
